In harmony with nature, the garden of Les Roches Rouges celebrates the marine landscape and plants indigenous to the Esterel scrub. The typical Mediterranean garden planted with tamarisk, marine figs, myrtle, mimosa, lavender, ferns and agapanthus, and lined with flagstones and red sand pathways, strikes a subtle balance between vegetable and mineral. The steppe vegetation along the coast, with dominant notes of everlasting flowers, makes for memorable walks. Further inland, a more abundant but equally relaxing natural environment, complete with small cabins and wooden pontoons, makes the perfect setting to rest, admire the sea or meditate. The landscape changes as you stroll through the garden with its soothing perfumes of aromatic rosemary, sage, thyme and verbena, meadow flowers and pinewood, and scented scrubland shrubs. The Hôtel Les Roches Rouges has chosen only local species to recreate an authentic Mediterranean garden attuned to its coastal habitat.
